MORE PROOF Ovaltine Helps You to Sleep

For the doubters still out there...and I know there are. I see you lurking, hear your mumbling. I know what's going on.

"As a hot bedtime drink, Ovaltine tends to draw excess blood away from the brain."

I don't think I need to say anymore.

  1. So is it excess blood in my brain that keeps me awake? I thought lots of blood around the brain was a good thing.

    1. I only publish the throughly researched scientific findings, I do not analyze them.

Actually, I keep waiting for Ovaltine to write and say, "Ummmmm...we don't actually believe this anymore." I don't know what the sugar content is in the stuff, but...

  2. Whole milk is rich in tryptophan, the enzyme (Or is it amino acid? I can't remember.) in turkey that makes you drowsy after Thanksgiving dinner. Malt and chocolate are complex carbohydrates that speed tryptophan's passage through the blood brain barrier. So yes, Ovaltine is a sleep aide.
