The Unofficial Official GOODBYE TO SUMMER

Labor Day signifies the end of summer. It used to be kids didn't go back to school until after Labor Day. I dreaded Labor Day because I hated school. Every year except the fourth grade. Hated the other 11 years. Always felt confined, unlike the little lady on the post card below.

One last hurrah for the summer with a post card published by the Asheville Post Cart Co. No information about the date of publication.

  2. That's a good one. I miss Summer already (what Summer?) I know the East Coast had one, but we sure didn't.

  3. All summer seeing those in the midwest and east having heat waves and sitting here with a sweater on has been crazy. Now we get summer. Actually a few days in a row. This will be the summer that never happened. Oh well. On with fall, but make it a good one. I'm thinking cold summer, we'll get a warm winter.
