My first drag club. Last time I was in S.F. about years ago, Stock Pot was still there.

Saw plenty of drag queens at the Halloween parade on Christopher St. in NYC. Roller Reena was supposedly a stock broker by day, donned roller skates and crinoline skirt at night.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11954692169914973706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-37339688627220277032013-02-19T18:29:11.538-08:002013-02-19T18:29:11.538-08:00My dad & mom went on a trip to SF. He told the story of following one to the rest rooms to see which door was entered. From the eye-rolling my mother did, I expect it was anecdotal.MrCachethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17380421021822593083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-28866907934887292252013-02-19T13:28:36.962-08:002013-02-19T13:28:36.962-08:00North Beach took such a dive. I recall a discussion of taking my father and girlfriend there when they visited us in the City, but my now dead ex (soon to be featured in my blog) nixed the idea for what seemed to be sociopolitical reasons. The venue had rather polarized the community, circa 1990, because of oxymoronic issues of social acceptance. If it had held on another five years, I think it would have resurged as a hip, retrograde nightspot.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18134402714736077231noreply@blogger.com
