I'm like you, once I found out about ebay, many years ago, I went in to try and collect the very old ones with jackets. I pretty much completed my vintage collection, stopping at the yellow bindings where I'd first started reading them in the early '60s. My mother used to tell me how she had a whole set when she was young, but by the time I came along my grandmother had thrown all of them away except for one. I still enjoy those books.Tattered and Losthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00208918251232477186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-15033476638220703152013-06-13T10:18:49.129-07:002013-06-13T10:18:49.129-07:00I just had a conversation about Nancy Drew with se...I just had a conversation about Nancy Drew with several women yesterday---about who wrote the originals and the revisions, etc and they were astounded over the complexities of tracing the true authors, the social politics ad nauseum. One volunteers for library book sales and said a little boy,a second grader, was looking for ND in yellow bindings. Reflections of my long ago self, only I was looking for the original 1930s editions bound in periwinkle blue with orange print.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18134402714736077231noreply@blogger.com
