Of course when I said "go-ahead" they thought I was nuts. Same country, different terminology.Tattered and Losthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00208918251232477186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-43485053440642934072009-07-17T06:08:39.803-07:002009-07-17T06:08:39.803-07:00"Go-aheads"! I've had to re-educate myself in the age of "thong" underwear! lolSusanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14201860227400017841noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-51651375182724758222009-07-16T18:56:04.590-07:002009-07-16T18:56:04.590-07:00Yes, you're right. Now I'm lucky if I get to experience even a trace of those memories because it's the busiest time of the year for work.

I still go barefoot most of the time, especially the summer. Otherwise I can't sit cross-legged in my desk chair. And when I was a kid in Hawaii we called flip-flops "go-aheads" because they were always coming off your feet and going ahead of you. Good times. Good times.Tattered and Losthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00208918251232477186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3586104591124883214.post-86573609990315705112009-07-16T17:17:41.838-07:002009-07-16T17:17:41.838-07:00Ahhh, the good old days when summers lasted foreve...Ahhh, the good old days when summers lasted forever and a day! I don't think I even put on a real pair shoes all summer long (with the exception of church shoes), only flip-flops. Those 69cent rubber ones that always came apart at the toe and you would stick it back together. Those were the days, my friend. We thought they'd never end...Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14201860227400017841noreply@blogger.com
